Pacaya Volcano

This stratovolcano has a long history of eruptions, with recorded activity dating back to the 16th century. Its most recent significant eruption occurred in 2010, which led to evacuations and disruptions in nearby communities. Since then, Pacaya has remained active, with frequent eruptions characterized by the emission of lava flows, ash clouds, and occasional explosive activity.

Daily departures (origin in Antigua Guatemala)

• Morning: From 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

• Afternoon: From  2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
