Panajachel is the main town in front of Lake Atitlán, it takes 2 1/2 hours to come there from Antigua.

The area of the Lake Atitlán basin measures 580 square kilometers, while the lake itself measures 130 square kilometers in total.

Its deepest part is approximately 325 meters, while the average depth is 220 meters. In fact, this makes it the deepest lake in Central America.

Program:

5:30 a.m. The collective shuttle transportation will take you from Antigua to Panajachel.

8:00 a.m. Arrival and free time for a breakfast (on your own).

9:00 a,m. You will meet your local guide who will accompany you to the other side of the three villages, going by boat.

Visit to San Juan La Laguna (1 hour) 

•Demostration how locals elaborate their textiles, naturally stained as an Maya heritage. 

•Ar Gallery with original and natives of local artists. 

Visit to San Pedro La Laguna (1 hour)

• Lookout Baptist Church, combining modern volcanic materials. Overall view of the lake.

• Cathedral Church

• Walk through Central Park and typical market

• Cafeteria: time to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee from the area

Visit to Santiago Atitlán (1 1/2 hours)

• Traditional Laundry: Bay View Atitlan with native women who follow the tradition of washing clothes by the lake

• Cathedral: Crossing tuc-tuc to visit the Catholic Church built in 1547, with particularly ways to dress up their images.

You will return by boat to Panajachel, to get ready to return to Antigua Guatmala, which is at 4:00 am. and estimated arrival at 6:30 p.m.
